About Zhenghua Rugby
Zhenghua Primary School Rugby Co-Curricular Activity was formed six years ago. With only twenty players then, the team has evolved and progressed in strength and achievements. The pupils were not only taught rugby skills during their training days, they were also taught character building and team camaraderie.
With committed and dedicated players, the team has garnered the 2004 Overall Champions in the M1 School Series Touch Rugby (U10 Category), 2005, 2006 & 2007 West Zone Champions (U11 Category) and 2006 National Runner-up (U11 Category) in the SPSSC National Rugby Tournaments. The U13 team were also West Zone Champions for 2007.
With its dedicated teachers, coaches and strong support from the school and its motto of “all for one, one for all”, the team strives to be “the best that we can be”.

Yeah! We won again.Let me introduce myself. My name is Syafiq and I am from 6L. In this team, I play as a forwards(2nd row).My Jersey number is 5.I wanna share wif u guys bout our team. Our team is very awesome as we are as one family. When our fwen got tackle, we will become very angry and no matter wad happen, we will bring him down. After I leave Zhenghua Primary School, I will remember my team members,who cried with me,our teachers,who are concerned about us , and last but not least, our coach, Mr Jamal, who trained us till we achieve National 1st runner up(2006).And, i also cannot 4get about our former assistant coach,Mr WANDY.In p3 , I thought that in rugby, we can only noe how to play rugby. Then,in p4, I tried. After that, I found out that I was wrong. Now, I know that in rugby , I can learn life skills such as ur daily probs.The KL trip was very fun. I enjoyed it very much as we eat together, play together, laugh together, talk together and many other things we did together.When I first joined rugby,Mr Jamal called me planet smiley as I will always smile during training. Now, I take training very seriously.Oh ya, I almost forget about the West Zone tournament.We played our best during the finals,as we knew that we will cry out our hearts if we lose that game.We played our very best.After we won, we took the bus home and sing in the bus.After the final game, I also cried as I remembered Mr Wandy was present and supported us during last year's West Zone.I think that we deserve to play for the school. Some of the us also helped Mr Sulaiman (off-field).I can conclude that Zhenghua rugby is disciplined on and off-field.During the Malaysia trip matches, we tried our best to win them but we lost to them by 5 marks.We tackled every single one of them who has the ball.We also cleared every ruck.The part which I like about the match is we never gave up and never say die attitude.I really don't know how to describe us as there are no words to describe us . I only can say that we are more than brothers. We are facing our toughest challenge that we had never faced. But no matter wad , we will never ever give up . After we had won the zonal competition last year,we went to Swensens@ BPP,also our gatherings.Last year, before the National tournament,we had a friendly match wif GongShang,but we lost to them. We did not gave up and tried to win them during the National tournament.During the National tournament, we came in 2nd position while they came in 3rd position.We also had played at the 'Manulife Financial International Youth Rugby 10s'.First ,we versus against Sembawang Primary School, if I am not wrong.Next, we versus against ACS(P).Third, we versus against a Thailand school which is called 'Kings College'.We won two but lost one ,to ACS(P).After that , they announced that we had to go home as we are eliminated.I also got the time to make friends wif some of the Thais and I was one of the lucky players in my team that receive a 'Thailand soldier' keychain.Then, we got a medal.Before we go back ,we said "sawadeekrab".Most of the Thais hair style is crew cut.Now, we trained with West View Primary School quite often.The moments that I went to KL wif my teammates and we did many things together.That is all I can tell you.

Hey well done Syafiq for such a nice comment.Well first i got to say that tomorrow will be our last tournament together....i am so sad i don't usually cry but i will cry this time.It is really tough and heart-breaking to leave the team.Nevertheless, we must focus for tomorrow's game.WE WILL SHED OUR BLOOD AND MAKE EVERYBODY PROUD!
