Pics from the U13 2007 Competition

Here you go guys, some pics from the competition.

U13 National Tournament

The boys put up a tough fight today but did not make it through to the next round. They fought well and gave it their all. Like Mr Koh says, To be "the best that we can be" is not a destination, it is a journey. Never mind that we didnt manage to clinch the trophy but we fought hard and on behalf on the teachers and the coaches, i'm glad to have had you guys by my side on that journey.
I hope we will not forget what we have learnt from this lesson in the years to come. It's not always about winning. Sometimes you learn better from falling and picking yourself up.
You boys have paved the way for rugby proper in our school and i will welcome you back anytime to be a source of inspiration for the next generation. I was very touched when i saw the juniors as i saw many of you in them. Thank you guys for this journey.

U11 West Zone Champions

Our Junior boys have done us proud! We have managed to get U11 West Zone Champions two years in a row. Many thx to all the teachers, coaches, supporters and most importantly, the boys! Congratulations again boys!

Congratulatory Messages!

Talofa!

I am happy to (re)deliver the news that officially ZhengHua Primary School is now the West Zone Rugby Champions for both the Under 13 and today, the Under 11 boys category!

I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone involved in one way or another. The tremendous support shown and given to make this dream of success a reality.

I am very proud of the boys today. They showed great strength in mind and body, tremendous fighting spirit ( making every tackle count etc ) even when some were down after knocks, they got up and fought on. They deserved the win and all of you deserved it too as evident today, Rugby is truly a team sport.

The hardwork and sacrifice put in by the teachers and the support of programmes, eg the KL tour etc, by the school management were all worth it. Even the seniors ( U13 ) who gave their advice and lend a helping hand here and there deserved this success. It is not easy, to follow in the footsteps of the senior boys, who themselves were champions when they were in the U11 but I am so very proud to say, we did it. These boys handled the pressure well displaying maturity beyond their age.

It wasn't so long ago, their first tournament where they were just happy to run around sometimes like headless chickens but today, they ran with a purpose. The backline of Fahmi,Fairuz,Rozaini,Naz,Ridhuan and Hanif were simply awesome. The forwards did their job and kudos go to them as well. We scored a total of 7 tries ( 49 points ) against zero!

Let them have their moment, they deserved it.

Let's go back to the drawing board and prepare for the big one, the Nationals.

I have as much faith in the boys as I have in the school for your continuing support.

So much to say but

there is still work to be done.

July 2007, let's do it!.

Thank you as well to Mr.Jamal for his support, advice and words of wisdom. Every one deserved the success we achieved today.

Till the next session...

I thank all of you, again.

In Humility

West Zone U13 Champions!!

A winning moment!

West Zone U13 Champions!

Yes! The boys gave their best and came away champions after meeting worthy opponents such as Concord and Qifa. It was a tough fight till the end as our boys were trailing 1-4 but within the last few minutes, they fought hard and came back from impending defeat to finish the game at 5-4. Well done boys!

A congratulatory message from Mr Koh:
"Indeed, Good achievement! Well done guys!

The fighting spirit was important, and I am heartened that rugby has given the children a chance to learn that. They will feel proud of the achievement and rightly so.

Do encourage the pupils to relfect on the game. I spoke to some of them in school, and they told me they panicked in the last match. I thought that was good as they have reflected well. Good to ask them to reflect how they can overcome situations like this! Whatever it is, good achievement and good learning! "

A few words from Mr Sulaiman
"As sunset falls upon one's life,
its golden rays reveal.
Those qualities of faith & truth,
the years have made so real.

Yup, the boys have done well, they have displayed true grit, composure, mental strength and determination.
The memorable match has also brought about mixed revelation.
We saw both our weakness & our strength.
There's work to be done.

Our final test will be the Nationals, which is on 18 April.
The boys will rise to the occasion, i am sure they will

Cheers!

3 cheers to Zhenghua sports!!
1!..2!..3!...ehhhh ...ZHENGHUA!! "

Last but not least Mr Jamal himself!
" Hi guys, congratulations to Our U13 team for winning the West zone mini rugby competition last Tue. Thanks to all teachers, V.P and Principal (Mr Koh) that had sacrifice your time to come and support the team.

It was a heart breaking game especially the most memorable final beating Qifa Pri with 3 mins to go from losing 4 - 1 to win 5 - 4. Its Unbelievable!!

What I see that the team had very much learned the spirit of agency and confident from the Malaysia's trip... With that situation I believed most team in this world could have given up the game as they new that the score was to far to catch up with short time left, but with high discipline and never say die attitude the boys had matured very much to fight to the end of the wistle and won the championship trophy.

Hopefully the boys will stay in good shape and and shine in the national competition.....

3 cheers for Zhenghua...... Hip hip.. Hooooray!!!
Jamal"

What better way to finish by looking at those golden moments!
